Ⅱ、Introduction

   Sichuan University acquired the qualification to authorize Master degree in the discipline of "Chemical Process Machinery" in 1983 and Doctor degree in 1993. At present, there are more than 20 master and doctoral supervisors in this discipline, and most of them have advanced study and research experience in abroad universities or institutes. The main research activities are focused on the basic theory and application of multiphase flow process and equipment, filtration and separation, new energy process and materials, turbulent combustion in aircraft engine, etc. During the last decade, our professors and researchers have undertaken and completed a number of research projects under the supports of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, the Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Education of China, and other provincial and industry organizations, and achieved many theoretical findings and engineering application achievements, especially in the studies of hydrodynamics of gas-solid circulating fluidized bed, heat and mass transfer of gas-liquid two-phase flow, mass transfer of gas-powder-mist system, three-phase separation of gas-liquid-solid, pervaporation membrane process and materials, bio-membrane technology for organic wastewater treatment, extraction of natural materials by high pressure, preparation of lithium cell materials and mass diffusion process, turbulent combustion and active cooling for aircraft engine, and the design of large-scale ammonium phosphate production equipment, the innovative design of thermal equipment in nuclear power station, the development and application of large scale siphon filter, the development of bio-fluidized bed reactor in organic wastewater treatment, etc. With this achievement, our professors have published about 300 research papers international journals, won one second-prize of national sci& tech progress awards, one second-prize of national tech-invention awards, one first-prize of provincial sci& tech progress awards, five second-prizes of provincial sci& tech progress awards, and achieved more than 30 granted patents. Adhering to the education mission of "strengthen the basis, face to the industry, service for the society", the discipline of "Chemical Process Machinery" has cultured a large number of excellent students for our nation, and of them, two have become Professor Cheung Kong Scholars, two have been awarded outstanding youth fund, one has got Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award nomination, and more numbers have become senior engineers of national backbone enterprises, famous experts of research and design Institute and professors of universities and colleges, having made the remarkable contribution for the national construction.

Ⅲ、Length of schooling and years of study

The academic master's degree is 3 years, and the longest length of schooling is not more than 4 years.

The academic doctor's degree is 3 years, and the longest length of schooling is not more than 6 years.

Ⅳ、Credit

The minimum requirement for master: 34 credits.

The minimum requirement for doctor: 21credits.
